Michael Magnotti

Michael founded Anthony Appraisers in 1989. As a Certified Residential Real Estate Appraiser, Realtor, and investor for the last 35 years, Mike is an expert on the real estate market and appraisal industry in the DMV area. He has completed over 30,000 appraisals and frequently advises realtors, appraisers, and builders regarding the appraisal industry. He has completed countless hours of continuing education, seminars, and other training to stay current with the industry. Anthony Appraisers is known throughout the Washington Metro area for its efficient and professional appraisals.


Mike was a founding member of the National Association of Realtors Appraisal Section, has chaired the Northern Virginia Association of Realtors Appraisal Section, and has chaired the appraisal sub-committee and was recognized as Businessman of the Year by the Vienna Chamber of Commerce in 2001. He has been an active member of the community for decades. In his spare time, he enjoys golfing and vacationing in Florida with his beautiful wife of 36 years.

Chad Akers

Chad Akers

Chad Akers is a Virginia Certified Residential Appraiser and co-owner of Anthony Appraisers. Chad started working to obtain his appraisal license in 1994, after attending Old Dominion University. Chad grew up in Northern Virginia and is very familiar with real estate market trends and values in the area. In his over 25 years in the appraisal business, he has completed numerous amount of appraisal reports. Chad also holds a Class A contractor’s license and is knowledgeable in all facets of the home construction process. In his free time, you may see him playing with his dogs or out on one of his motorcycles enjoying the day.

Kristi began her career in the appraisal industry as an office manager for an appraisal company in 2004. She became a realtor in 2005 and an appraiser in 2009. She is a Certified Residential Real Estate Appraiser in Virginia and Maryland. She has completed numerous courses and attended seminars to further improve her practice, such as McKissock’s “The Cost Approach” and “Supporting Your Adjustments Methods for Residential Appraisers”. Kristi listed and sold foreclosures during the market crash in 2008. She possesses the skills to navigate through a variety of real estate and appraisal situations.


Born and raised in the Mount Vernon, VA area, Kristi and her husband moved to the Lake Anna area in 2015 and are raising their daughter there. She has been in real estate since 2005 and joined our team in 2011.

Jessica Karroll

Jessica was born and raised in northern Virginia. A proud graduate of Virginia Tech, she’s been in the appraisal business since 2013. She has worked as an appraiser in Alabama and Virginia. Jessica lives in Chantilly with her husband and their two dogs, Jack and Pippi.

Alissa Nachtwey

Alissa, our Operations Manager, brings over 20 years of expertise in the insurance industry, real estate, project management, and business development. Having been born into a military family, Alissa had the opportunity to travel worldwide before spending several years in Northern Virginia. She now resides in Southern Maryland with her husband and son, where they share in their love of Capitals hockey and Nationals baseball.

Sharon, a Frederick County, Maryland resident, has been a Certified Residential Appraiser since 2010. She has experience with many appraisal needs relating to land, estate and tract home appraisals, appraisal reviews, as well as pre and post renovation appraisals to name a few. In her free time, she enjoys riding vintage motorcycles, listening to live music and being outdoors.
